Asus fan xpert 211/9/2023 ![]() What good is using AI Suite and Fan Xpert 2 to control your cpu fan, if the temperature the mainboard uses is way too low? I tried to make a curve that takes this into account, but it's really not working well. This has the knock on effect of not spinning up the fans, as the board thinks the cpu is barely warm when infact prime torture test are roasting it. For example, under prime95 small ffts my core temps shoot up to 60-65C, where as the CPU temp measured by the board slowly rises up to about 40-44C and stays there. However when putting some load on it the core temps shoot up but the CPU temp doesn't. At idle, my core temps hover between 25-30C, and my cpu temp registers at about 28 which is fine. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, however this temp is what the board uses to control the fans. I've used HWinfo64, HwMonitor, and other programs to report temps to compare to Fan Xpert. This temperature is between 10° and 30° celcius below the temperature the CPU itself reports. The issue I am having is that the motherboard is providing a very wrong value for CPU temp. I have a problem with the temperature the Asus Maximus reports and uses in Fan Xpert 2.
